Once a Week Is Just the Beginning in Lautoka
For over 10 years, Pastor Semi has been feeding, teaching, and loving 30 kids in Lautoka, Fiji. Right now they gather once a week. With your help, that could be every day.
About the Lautoka Nutrition Center
Once a week, about 30 children from a predominantly Muslim community in Lautoka, Fiji show up to a local church. They come for a meal, community, and a little extra help with their schoolwork. They come because Pastor Semi, a national pastor with a genuine heart for young people, has spent over a decade making sure this is a place worth coming to.
That kind of faithful, consistent presence in a community that doesn't always expect it is no small thing. These kids are from impoverished Muslim and Hindu families in Lautoka who are watching the church show up for them, week after week, with food and warmth and zero strings attached. MANNA Worldwide is partnering with Semi to sustain + grow this program.
The Strategy for Transformation
Our approach focuses on three key objectives:
🍽️ More Meals, More Often
Currently feeding 30 kids once a week, with a goal to expand to 3 to 4 times per week so that consistent nourishment becomes the norm, not the exception.
📖 The Gospel in Action
Share Bible stories and the love of Jesus in a Muslim and Hindu community through the most disarming tool there is: a warm meal and an open door.
🎨 Learning, Creating, Belonging
Give kids a place to grow through crafts, educational support, and the simple but powerful experience of being welcomed and invested in.

Currently, Lautoka needs an addition $500 per month.
Long Term Mindset
Every month, the Lautoka Nutrition Center needs $500 to keep feeding 30 children from impoverished Muslim and Hindu families once a week, with Bible stories, crafts, and educational support woven in.
Future Growth
We are working toward funding that lets us feed these kids 3 to 4 times per week. Every dollar gets us closer to a table that is set for these children not just once, but every single week.

Growth: A stable monthly base is the only way we can scale from two days a week to a full-time church and community center.
